We've built a web application on the grails framework for business users that is tightly integrated with hosted and social platforms like Google Apps. We have recently become a launch partner with Google's new Upload Any File feature. Unlike most startups that are this early a startup (we be 4) we are already generating revenue; are a top-rated application for Google Apps; and are already being used by thousands of businesses. This is a great opportunity to make a huge impact RESPONSIBILITIES • Implement existing web app on a variety of online platforms • New feature development to meet customer and market requirements (you should be comfortable with going from whiteboard specifications to quickly implementing new features, iterating) • Review technical feasibility of new features • Debug and maintain the existing web app in a variety of environments, including cross-domain and cross-browser implementation SKILLS • 1-3 years of software or web development experience • 1 year experience in object oriented Javascript • 1-2 years experience in at least one typical web programming language (Python, Java, etc) • Self motivated, quick learner - this is a startup • Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks, including Ajax (e.g., jQuery) • Familiarity with web development frameworks (Ruby on Rails, Django, Grails) • Plus: experience with mobile apps & gadgets/widgets • Internet/web technologies such as browsers, firewalls, and http • Working knowledge of source control software (e.g., Subversion) • Experience with Linux, Apache, Tomcat and MySQL • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Systems Engineering or related field
